Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Can Help

How will Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation help me?

Patients who undergo Cardiac and Pulmonary rehabilitation may experience reduced cardiac symptoms, better long-term survival, weight loss, improved cholesterol and triglyceride levels, improved blood pressure, lower blood sugar levels, improved endurance and strength, improved quality of life, and less stress.  By choosing CardiaCare, you are choosing a healthier way of life.

How does it work?

CardiaCare's rehabilitation program provides comprehensive care in a wellness center that helps you feel safe and supported.  Most insurance plans cover Cardiac and Pulmonary rehabilitation with patient responsibility for any co-pay or balance due.

Rehabilitation includes education, emotional support and physical activity.  Our goals are to control symptoms, restore functional capabilities and improve the quality of the patient's life.

Cardiac and Pulmonary rehabilitation are important when:

Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab usually begins after the patient has suffered a major cardiopulmonary event, such as a heart attack, or has undergone heart surgery, such as valve replacement, a coronary bypass, or placement of a coronary stent.  It may also be recommended for patients with certain cardiopulmonary diseases, including angina or chest pain, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, even if there has been no major medical event. At CardiaCare, we aim to improve the patient's physical function after major injury or surgery, and to prevent future complications.
